I try not to make much Asian food because some of their dishes, especially Chinese dishes, are just too greasy but this dish was surprisingly grease-free. I just loved the vegetables sauteed in ginger and garlic and the spiciness from the Sriracha just put it over the top. It’s such a healthy…

This side dish was absolutely wonderful and paired perfectly with the Tri-Tip and Shrimp with Pancetta Chimichurri. The lemon vinaigrette was very flavorful with its subtle tanginess and I just loved the fluffy texture of the goat cheese. I especially enjoyed the pine nuts, which gave the…

Certain days you just have a rough time. Run-ins with clients (they yell at you or insult you). Bumpy conversations with friends and loved ones. Fatigue. Aches and pains (rainy days don’t help). Monday was a day like that for me. Actually - May has been a month like that for me. All I wanted to do was have a nice glass of wine (Haut Medoc in this case) and cook a nice meal - a soothing action to be sure. The rhythm of the chopping, the stirring, and the aromas wafting around. A good friend to join and the evening would be a success.
Unfortunately, as much as I love shopping (let me amend that to grocery shopping), I didn’t really feel like it, so I took a look in my fridge to see what I could come up with - key ingredients: bacon, goat cheese, some fresh veggies and herbs, and of course the pasta. An easy, but delicious combination. Even better, this was all ready in 30 minutes!

There are a couple of ways to make waffles. You can use the store-bought waffle mix where you simple add oil and water or you can go the extra mile and make a waffle batter out of scratch. This recipe definitely took more time than using the store-bought waffle mix but the extra effort was…

This is a salami, brie and tomato sandwich with avocado, rocket, baby spinach and mayo. It is so tasty and easy to make: and is a delicious alternative to a boring sammie.
This particular sandwich was super special because the avocado was the first to ripen off our avocado tree! Growing your own…
Outside of Europe, I’ve only had good crepes in my own kitchen. The rest just aren’t as good.

Probably one of the more versatile sauces, Chimichurri, traditionally served with steak, works brilliantly with chicken and fish and can even double as a marinade. What better to start off bbq season with than this easy to throw together sauce?
First, the players:
3/4 cup fresh parsley
3/4…
Bubble tea is a relatively new Taiwanese tea drink made with smoothie-like, frothed tea made with milk, fruit and/or other ingredients; it may also include cubes or spheres of tapioca, agar agar or other jelly-like substances, in which case it is also known as “Tapioca Pearl Tea” or “Boba Tea”
It’s almost the end of the school year, which means the fridge/freezer need to get cleaned out, and food needs to get made and eaten. My roommates aren’t complaining because it usually means I’m baking a lot in an effort to use up the frozen fruit and pastry sheets I stocked up on during the…
I’ve been trying to do two specific things when it comes to food as of late: Expand the variety of fruits and vegetables that I consume and cut back on sugary sweets (I have a crazy sweet tooth!).

When you die, if you get a choice between going to regular heaven or pie heaven, choose pie heaven. It might be a trick, but if it’s not, mmmmmmmm, boy.
