Aunt Hilly’s Amish Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients:
Dough: 1 1/2 C milk, 2 TSP salt, 1/2 C Sugar, 1/2 C butter, 3 TSP active dry yeast, 1/2 C warm water, 6 C flour, 3 eggs, Sugar-cinnamon-mix: 1/2 C brown sugar, 1 TBSP cinnamon
Give flour in large bowl and form a well, put yeast into that and fill up well with milk. Let rise for about 5min (not much is going to happen, no worries). Add all remaining ingredients and knead thoroughly, if too sticky add a bit of oil. Cover with dishcloth, put in warm spot and let rise for about 30min.Roll out and grease dough with a bit of warm butter/margarine. Sprinkle with sugar-cinnamon mix and form a roll. Cut into 1inch pieces.
Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 10-15min.
